terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and michi ("michi", "we", "us") when you use the app. By creating an account or using michi, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
what michi is, and isn't
michi is a goal-tracking and reflection tool that uses a language model to help you build and adapt a personal plan. It is not a medical, mental-health, therapeutic, legal, or financial service, and nothing it produces is professional advice. Use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional for decisions that need one.
if you're in crisis
michi is not a crisis service and can't help in an emergency. If you're in danger or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country right away, or reach out to someone you trust.
eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 to use michi. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. One person per account.
ai-generated content
Plans, readings, suggestions, insights, and "ask michi" responses are generated by a language model from what you tell michi. They are meant to be thoughtful, not authoritative, and may sometimes be wrong or off-base. Treat them as a starting point, not a verdict, and don't rely on them for anything important without your own judgment.
acceptable use
Don't use michi to break the law, infringe others' rights, abuse or overload the service, probe or bypass its security, scrape it, or resell it. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
plans, billing, and cancellation
michi has a free tier and paid plans (michi::pro and michi::master), billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from billing; access continues until the end of the period you've paid for, and cancellation stops future renewals. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable. We may change prices or plan features with reasonable notice; changes apply to your next billing period.
usage limits
AI features are subject to a fair-use limit that varies by plan, so no single account can run up unbounded cost. If you reach your limit, AI features pause until your period resets or you upgrade; the rest of the app keeps working.
your content
What you create in michi is yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store it and operate the service for you (including sending the necessary text to our AI provider to generate your features). The michi name, design, and software are ours and may not be copied or reused without permission.
no warranties
michi is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will fit your situation.
limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, michi is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on its output. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
ending your use
You can delete your account and all its data at any time from settings. We may suspend or end access for accounts that violate these terms or to protect the service.
governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where michi's operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we change these terms materially, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you; continuing to use michi means you accept the change.
